Key Responsibilities
The Legal Advisory & Notary Officer will perform the following duties:
1. Notary Services
· Provide
notary services to citizens and institutions as required by the law governing
the notary function.
· Ensure
accuracy, legality, and compliance in all notarized documents.
2. Legal Advisory Role
· Serve
as an active member of the District Technical Coordination Committee.
· Offer
proactive and reactive legal counsel to prevent litigation or resolve ongoing
legal issues.
· Provide
legal insights on strategic decisions taken by district authorities.
3. Contract Management
· Co-prepare
and sign first-degree tender contracts between the District and service
providers/contractors.
· Advise
on contract compliance and risks.
4. Policy & Bylaw Drafting
· Draft
bylaws to be issued by district authorities.
· Analyze
the legal implications of policies and recommendations before implementation.
5. Handling Contentious Cases
· Review
complaints, legal requests, or contentious dossiers from citizens or staff.
· Collect
supporting evidence and prepare legal opinions.
· Recommend
clear conclusions for submission to the Attorney General
regarding litigation matters.
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor’s
Degree in Law (Required)
· 0
years of experience required – Fresh graduates are highly encouraged
to apply!
