1 Head of Business and Operations
Department:
Business & Operations
Reports
to: Managing Director
Number
of Positions: 1
Job Purpose
The Head of Business &
Operations drives business growth, strategic expansion, operational
excellence, and client experience improvement across all branches
and digital channels.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Lead business planning and implement annual &
medium-term business strategies
✔ Identify growth opportunities (new products, channels,
geographic regions)
✔ Oversee branch operations, loan administration, credit
processes & client onboarding
✔ Monitor revenue, portfolio growth, cost optimization &
digital banking performance
✔ Ensure strict compliance with BNR regulations and AML/CFT
standards

PAR management
✔ Lead and mentor branch managers and the business operations

✔ Manage relationships with partners, fintechs, and
regulatory bodies
✔ Support investor relations, fundraising and strategic
reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics
(Master’s is an added advantage)
- At least 5 years of relevant experience,
including 2+ years in leadership
- Strong knowledge of microfinance, MSMEs, portfolio
management
- Experience with core banking systems & digital
channels
- Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and
KPI-driven decision-making skills
- Fluency in Kinyarwanda & English required; French
is an advantage
2 Internal Audit Manager
Department:
Internal Control
Reports
to: Board of Directors
Number
of Positions: 1
Job Purpose
To ensure effective risk
management, internal control, compliance, and governance
frameworks across ACB Plc.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Develop and implement a risk-based annual audit plan
✔ Oversee financial, operational, IT, and compliance audits
✔ Identify internal control weaknesses & recommend
corrective actions
✔ Monitor implementation of audit recommendations
✔ Lead and coach internal audit staff
✔ Liaise with the Board, senior management, and external
auditors
✔ Ensure compliance with IFRS, ISA, BNR regulations, and
industry standards
✔ Provide periodic risk trend reports and emerging risk
assessments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification is mandatory
- Minimum 4 years of significant audit experience
- Strong understanding of microfinance/banking operations
- Proficiency in audit tools & data analytics
- Excellent communication, risk analysis, and
report-writing skills
3 Marketing and Customer Relationship Manager

Business & Operations
Reports
to: Head of Business and Operations
Number
of Positions: 1
Job Purpose
Strengthen ACB’s brand, promote
banking products, expand customer outreach, and build long-term client
relationships.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Lead deposit mobilization and loan growth campaigns
✔ Design customer outreach & community engagement
programs
✔ Improve customer satisfaction & feedback systems
✔ Develop strategic partnerships with cooperatives, SMEs
& NGOs
✔ Conduct market research and analyze customer trends
✔ Promote digital financial services (mobile banking, agency
banking)
✔ Manage corporate communications and external branding
✔ Support product development & marketing strategy
execution
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Marketing, Business, or related field
(Master’s is an advantage)
- At least 4 years of experience in marketing or
customer relations
- Strong skills in communication, negotiation &
customer management
- Familiarity with CRM tools & digital marketing
- Fluency in Kinyarwanda & English required
4 Chief Accountant
Department:
Finance
Reports
to: Head of Finance
Number
of Positions: 1
Job Purpose
Manage daily accounting operations,
ensure accurate reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and support
financial strategy.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Prepare monthly, quarterly & annual financial statements
(IFRS compliant)
✔ Maintain accurate books of accounts & ledger management
✔ Oversee bank & mobile money reconciliations
✔ Ensure proper accounting for loans, provisions &
recoveries
✔ Handle tax compliance (PAYE, VAT, WHT, CIT)
✔ Support audits and implement recommendations
✔ Manage accounts payable & receivable
✔ Supervise accounting staff and maintain fixed asset
registers
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field
(CPA is an added advantage)
- Minimum 3 years accounting experience
- Strong IFRS knowledge & experience with accounting
software
- High integrity, accuracy & attention to detail
- Strong Excel and reporting skills
