Reliever. This full-time role, based in Kigali, plays a pivotal part in
strengthening the volunteer experience and ensuring the success of community
projects across the country.

Founded in 2011, CorpsAfrica
provides opportunities for Africans to serve as volunteers within their home
countries. Through training in leadership and Human-Centered Design (HCD),
volunteers are equipped to work in underserved communities, helping residents
identify challenges and co-create solutions that drive long-term change.
Volunteers collaborate with NGOs,
local authorities, and community members to implement impactful projects in
sectors such as education, agriculture, health, and youth empowerment.

development across Africa.
Position
Overview
The Volunteer Liaison Reliever
supports a selected group of CorpsAfrica Volunteers throughout their service.
This includes offering emotional guidance, assisting with project
implementation, monitoring progress, and ensuring volunteers maintain strong
engagement with communities. The role requires both office work in Kigali and
frequent field travel to rural sites.
Key
Responsibilities
1.
Volunteer Support and Coordination
- Work closely with volunteers to help them develop and
organize weekly and monthly schedules.
- Provide ongoing emotional and professional support
throughout their service.
- Ensure volunteers feel equipped, safe, and confident in
their roles.
2.
Coaching in Human-Centered Design
- Guide volunteers in applying Human-Centered Design
principles to community projects.
- Promote and integrate design thinking within both field
activities and office operations.
- Foster a culture of innovation and problem-solving
among volunteers.
3.
Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain accurate, complete volunteer records and
project archives.
- Prepare detailed weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual
reports on volunteer activities.
- Ensure high standards of accountability, transparency,
and data management.
4.
Field Visits and Monitoring
- Conduct routine visits to volunteer sites to monitor
progress and offer support.
- Provide guidance on challenges, project implementation,
and community engagement.
- Strengthen relationships between volunteers,
communities, and partner organizations.
5.
Program and Administrative Support
- Assist in events, trainings, media activities, and
marketing initiatives.
- Support organizational campaigns including green,
purple, and blue initiatives.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Director or
Program Manager.
Qualifications
and Requirements
Education
and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of three years of professional experience,
including at least one year of field experience.
- CorpsAfrica alumni experience is a strong advantage.
Skills
and Attributes
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational
skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
- High proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google
Docs.
- Deep passion for youth leadership, community development,
and impact evaluation.
- High integrity, sound judgment, and professional
conduct.
- Solid understanding of Rwandan government systems and
legal frameworks.
- Fluency in English is required.
Location
Kigali, Rwanda
Frequent field travel required.
