Role Highlight: Construction Procurement Intern
This role sits at the center of
engineering, procurement, logistics, and contract management — the perfect mix
for anyone who wants to understand how technical projects actually come to

You will work closely with the Senior
Specialist & Electrical Engineer, contributing to both operational
execution and strategic improvements.
Your
Mission Includes:
1.
RFQs, Supplier Engagement & Sourcing
You’ll prepare quotations, talk to
suppliers, compare offers, and help ensure One Acre Fund partners with the best
vendors. You’ll learn negotiation tactics and supplier coordination — essential
skills for a procurement professional.
2.
Contract Drafting & Policy Compliance
You’ll support drafting contracts
and reviewing agreements to ensure projects follow One Acre Fund and RICA
standards — including elements of FIDIC principles, a globally
recognized engineering contract framework.
3.
Tracking, Reporting & Documentation
You’ll create trackers, maintain
dashboards, and provide procurement updates that leadership relies on for
decision-making.
4.
Importation & Logistics Assistance
You’ll gain real-world exposure to
import procedures, sourcing specialized engineering materials, and coordinating
with logistics teams.
In short: You’ll learn what most
graduates take years to understand.

Educational
Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction
Management, or a technical field
Technical
& Procurement Knowledge
- Understanding of procurement processes
- Basic knowledge of supply chain operations
- Familiarity with engineering standards and FIDIC
principles
Soft
Skills
- Strong communication
- Attention to detail
- Organized and reliable
- Comfortable working with suppliers and internal teams
Experience
Basic work experience or internship
in a related field is an added advantage.
