About the Role
Job Title: Company Driver
Location: Kigali, Rwanda
Reports to: Fleet Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time
The Company Driver plays a central
role in ensuring smooth transport operations for staff, materials, and
equipment. Beyond driving duties, this position also includes supporting
technical work, inspections, routine audits, and operational functions when not
on the road. WARwanda provides full training for all additional
responsibilities.

Key Result Areas
1.
Vehicle Care & Fleet Management
You will be responsible for the full
care of your assigned vehicle — from routine inspections to ensuring the car
remains in excellent working condition. Your goal is to reduce downtime and
keep operations running smoothly.
2.
Road Safety & Responsible Driving
Safety comes first. You must drive
defensively, follow all traffic regulations, and ensure the protection of
passengers, cargo, and company assets.
3.
Time & Route Efficiency
Your daily routes and assignments
will be provided by the Fleet Manager. You must use the most efficient routes
and adhere to schedules, ensuring quick and dependable service.
4.
Operational Productivity
During periods when you are not
driving, you’ll support technical tasks such as audits, inspections, equipment
checks, and other duties assigned by senior leaders.
Main Responsibilities
- Transport employees, equipment, materials, and
documents to assigned locations.
- Deliver and pick up packages, documents, and supplies
for WARwanda operations.
- Remain available for duty from Monday to Saturday,
responding to requests within 15–20 minutes.
- Ensure the vehicle’s safety, proper usage, and physical
security at all times.
- Maintain a daily logbook capturing every movement of
the vehicle.
- Follow all internal procedures and support management
in implementing the company’s fleet plan.
- Assist the CTO, CFO, or COO with technical and
operational activities when required.
This position requires dedication,
flexibility, and a high level of responsibility.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- High school diploma or any equivalent certificate.
Licensing
- Valid driving license in categories B, C, D, or F.
Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in the driving or
transportation field is preferred.
Technical
Skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge for quick troubleshooting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
Soft
Skills
- Trustworthy and reliable.
- Highly accountable in all tasks.
- Able to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
Salary & Benefits Package
WARwanda offers attractive and
competitive compensation based on experience level:
1.
New Driver-Level Benefits
- Net salary:
RWF 113,928 after all statutory deductions.
- Communication cards + staff support services included.
2.
Experienced Driver-Level Benefits
- Net salary:
RWF 151,952 after deductions.
- Retention Bonus:
RWF 35,000/month (accessible after 3-month probation; tied to a
3-year cliff).
3.
Driver Technician-Level Benefits
- Monthly Gross Salary:
RWF 165,340
- Transport Allowance:
RWF 83,900 gross per month
- Retention Pay:
RWF 35,000/month (taxable)
