Role
Overview
The IT Officer – Operations &
User Support will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily IT operations,
resolving technical incidents, and providing frontline support to staff across
all branches. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced
environment and enjoys tackling both hardware and software challenges.
Key
Responsibilities
As an IT Officer, you will handle:
1.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Resolve issues on Windows, macOS, and Linux
devices
- Support users with software applications like Microsoft
Office and email clients
- Diagnose and repair hardware (printers, scanners,
laptops, desktops)
2.
Network & System Administration
- Work with Active Directory (user accounts,
groups, GPOs)
- Manage file shares, permissions, DNS, DHCP
- Assist in basic Windows Server and Linux
administration
- Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi issues
3.
Cybersecurity & Best Practices
- Enforce safe IT practices such as phishing
prevention and least-privilege principles
- Monitor and interpret system logs to detect issues
early
4.
Helpdesk & Ticketing
- Use tools like Jira, Freshservice, GLPI,
or OTRS
- Provide timely updates, escalate issues, and ensure a
smooth user experience
Required
Skills & Competencies
Prime Life Insurance is seeking
candidates with:
- Strong troubleshooting experience across multiple
operating systems
- Solid understanding of basic server administration
- Knowledge of enterprise networking
- Experience handling IT hardware issues
- Familiarity with cybersecurity hygiene
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple
tasks
