Key
Responsibilities
1️
HR Documentation & Compliance
You’ll ensure the backbone of HR
operations runs smoothly by maintaining and organizing employee records,
contracts, and company policies.
Core duties include:
- Ensuring all staff files and HR documentation are
up-to-date and compliant with Rwanda’s labor laws.
- Supporting employee onboarding and exit processes.
- Conducting quarterly HR audits alongside WAR’s legal
counsel.
- Coordinating performance reviews and feedback cycles.
Tip: A well-managed HR system ensures

Learning & Development
At Water Access Rwanda, learning

- Managing WAR’s internal learning library, including
books, templates, and online resources.
- Coordinating professional training sessions, workshops,

4️ People Systems & Reporting
As a People Operations Officer,
you’ll manage the systems that track everything from employee attendance to
performance analytics.
This includes:
- Managing HR dashboards and data accuracy.
- Coordinating annual leave and ensuring policy
compliance.
- Generating monthly and quarterly reports for
management.
- Using data insights to identify opportunities for
improvement.
With accurate HR data, WAR can make
informed decisions that benefit both the organization and its employees.
5️ Operational Support
You’ll provide critical support to
the CEO and leadership team in executing HR-related strategic goals.
This involves:
- Conducting exit interviews and summarizing key
findings.
- Liaising with external HR consultants and trainers.
- Supporting the CEO with HR reports and proposals.
- Assisting in succession planning and organizational
development.
Required
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in any field (WAR values skill,
passion, and initiative over formal degrees).
- Ongoing professional HR certifications or relevant
coursework is a plus.
Experience
- 1–3 years in HR, people operations, or administrative
support.
- Experience in documentation, employee engagement, or
training.
- Familiarity with social enterprises, startups, or NGO
environments.

RWF 297,463/month
- Retention Bonus:
RWF 100,000/month (after probation; 3-year cliff)

Junior
Officer Level
- Net Take-home Salary:
RWF 171,061/month
- Retention Bonus:
RWF 40,000/month (after probation)
- Extras:
