The Centre Cyprien et Daphrose Rugamba (CECYDAR) is a well-established non-profit organization in Rwanda. It is known for:

Available Job Positions

1. Social Worker

Social Workers at CECYDAR play a critical role in ensuring children and youth receive the care and guidance they need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychosocial support to beneficiaries.
  • Conduct family assessments and reintegration processes.
  • Develop case management plans and follow-up strategies.
  • Collaborate with local authorities, schools, and NGOs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in child protection or community development.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive cases with confidentiality and professionalism.

 

2. Psychologist

The Psychologist role is essential in addressing mental health and trauma recovery for children under CECYDAR’s care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer counseling and therapy sessions.
  • Support trauma healing through group and individual interventions.
  • Conduct psychological assessments and treatment plans.
  • Train staff and caregivers on child psychology and mental health.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or Counselling.
  • Prior experience working with children or trauma survivors.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic approaches for vulnerable groups.
  • High emotional intelligence and empathy.

 

3. Project Manager

As a Project Manager, you will ensure that CECYDAR’s projects are well-coordinated, funded, and implemented successfully.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning, budgeting, and implementation of projects.
  • Supervise staff and monitor performance.
  • Build partnerships with donors, government institutions, and NGOs.
  • Prepare reports and ensure accountability in project delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Project Management, Development Studies, or related field.
  • At least 3–5 years’ experience managing NGO/community projects.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Strong donor reporting and proposal writing experience.

 

4. Project Accountant

The Project Accountant ensures transparent and accurate financial management within CECYDAR’s programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial operations of projects.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports.
  • Support external and internal audits.
  • Ensure compliance with donor regulations and financial policies.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • CPA/ACCA qualification is an advantage.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in NGO finance management.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).

 

Who Can Apply?

  • Hold relevant degrees in the listed fields.
  • Have proven experience in child protection, psychology, finance, or project management.
  • Be fluent in English and/or French (Kinyarwanda is an added advantage).
